Achieving certification through IAAP is the internationally recognized standard of excellence.

IAAP offers the Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) rating. The Institute for Certifying Secretaries Department of the IAAP administers the exam in May and November. More than 57,000 administrative professionals have achieved the CPS rating. Although achieving certification is recommended, it is not a requirement of IAAP membership. Dues for new members are $81.00; renewal of membership is $61.00 annually. New student memberships are $22.00 annually. Dues include all publications previously listed including a subscription to OfficePro monthly magazine.
